Reusing Old Toothbrushes

Over time your toothbrushes lose the stiffness and become tatty and relatively inefficient, at which point you throw them away, right? Wrong! Once you think it's time to renew your toothbrush, keep your old ones, as they can be extremely useful for fiddly little bits and pieces such as:

* Clean the fiddly inside bits of your cheese grater by scrubbing the opposite way from the inside out. The tiny bristles remove even the trickiest specks of excess food.

* Also use your toothbrushes to clean out the inside of your blenders or food processors, as again, the tiny bristles can dig into the smallest of places that scrubbing brushes cannot.

* Use a separate old toothbrush to scrub off mould and grime from your bathroom tiles, as it seems to lift of the unpleasantness with ease.

* Clean your jewellery such as chains and rings with an old toothbrush, as the bristles can easily get into all the links and awkward parts that are tricky to clean otherwise. Use hot soapy water to scrub over entire piece of jewellery and then buff with a clean cloth afterwards!
