Choosing Cooker Hoods

Cooker hoods are designed to draw heat, moisture and grease from your cooking and either filter it out and recirculate the air, or extract it completely. Recirculating hoods are by far the easiest option as they can be fitted without any holes needing to be cut in the wall. Extraction fans require a hole to be cut in an outside wall and the extraction duct passed through. Extraction hoods will, however, usually do a far better job of cutting down odours, etc. Recirculation hoods need to be cleaned regularly and have the filters changed to keep them working well.
